Chain-Drive Garage Door Openers
Chain-drive garage door openers use a metal chain to lift and lower the garage door for opening and closing.
This gives these garage door openers the strength to open heavier doors and ensures that they won’t slip. Chain-drive garage door openers are also more affordable than other options and can last a long time with proper maintenance.
On the other hand, they do require more maintenance to stay in top form. Belt-Drive Garage Door Openers
Belt-drive garage door openers are similar to chain-drive garage door openers, but use a belt instead of a chain. They do tend to be more expensive than other opener options, though.
